Details: At 00:46, an Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drone was recorded flying over the site of the South Ukrainian NPP in the vicinity of the nuclear facility.
“This is an unacceptable violation of nuclear and radiation safety. We appeal to the IAEA and the entire world nuclear community, informing them about the attack drone flying over the nuclear power plant site. Once again, we urge you to prevent nuclear facilities from being exposed to the risk of attack by the Russian army and posing a threat to nuclear and radiation safety of Ukraine and the world,” the national NPP operator said in a statement.
On Monday night, the Russian invading troops attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones, 30 of which were destroyed by the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces.
As a result of the Russian drone attack in the Kyiv region, three people were injured, and nine houses were damaged. In addition, there are power outages due to damage to critical infrastructure.
