Russian drone attack on Kyiv: drone debris hit administrative buildings

The morning of December 14 in Kyiv and the Kyiv region started for residents with the sound of Iranian-made drones Shahed. Russian invaders launched a drone attack on the Ukrainian capital.

Ukrainian air defense shot down 13 Shahed-136 drones near the capital. The debris from the drone damaged two administrative buildings in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

“Kyiv suffered two waves of attacks by enemy drones. Due to the effective work of air defense and electronic warfare units, our military destroyed 13 enemy war drones. The debris from the downed UAVs hit one administrative building, and four more residential buildings were slightly damaged (Shevchenkivskyi district of the capital),” said the head of the Kyiv Air Defence Headquarters, Serhiy Popko.

There were two waves of terrorist attacks, so the air defense forces shot down 13 drones.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces neutralized all unmanned aerial vehicles that attacked the country on the morning of December 14

A downed Iranian-made “Shahed”, launched by Russians, was also found in one of the districts of the Kyiv region. The Head of the National Police in Kyiv region, Andrii Nebytov, showed the relevant photos.

At the same time, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Russia launched drones from the east coast of the Sea of Azov.

The air alarm in the city was announced at 05:55 AM. Residents heard the first sounds of explosions around 06:30 AM.
