The Finland’s embassy located in Moscow has appealed to Russia to ensure safety of the diplomatic mission following an incident this week, when people in masks threw sledgehammers into the yard of the Finland’s embassy.
The incident did not lead to any injures or damage to the building, but the deputy head of mission of Finland had urged Russia to stick to the Geneva convention on diplomatic relations by ensuring the security of staff and of the building.
This situation proves once again that the Russian Federation should not be regarded as the actor, having willingness to abide by rules, norms, and standards of international law.
