In his speech to the G20 participants, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky presented Ukraine’s proposals for achieving peace with Russia and stop the war, which include 10 points.
Zelensky’s speech was released by the Office of the President. “To liberate our entire land from rashists (ed.: Russian fascists), we will have to fight for some time… To fight! But if victory will still be ours, and we are sure of it, then isn’t it worth trying to implement our formula for peace to save thousands of lives and save the world from new destabilizations? That is why I want to present our vision of the path to peace – how to achieve it in reality. And not only for us but for all of you, your allies and partners.”
According to Zelensky, there is a set of solutions – and he wants the conversation about it to be public, not behind the scenes, “to be discussed specifically, not in broad strokes.”
The Ukrainian leader wants “this aggressive Russian war to end fairly and based on the UN Charter and international law, and not ‘by any means.
“Ukraine should not be offered compromises with its conscience, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence. We respect the rules and we are people of our word. Ukraine has always been a leader in peacekeeping efforts, and the world has seen it. And if Russia says that it wants to end this war, let it prove it with actions”, Zelensky stated.
“Russia’s words cannot be trusted, and there will be no “Minsk-3”, which Russia will violate immediately after the conclusion. If there are no corresponding actions to restore peace, it means that Russia just wants to deceive all of you once again, deceive the world and freeze the war just when its defeats have become especially tangible.”
“We will not let Russia wait, build up its forces, and then start a new series of terror and global destabilization. I am confident that right now it is necessary and possible to stop the destructive Russian war”.
In his online speech at the G20 summit, Zelenskyy called it G19 several times, hinting that Russia should be excluded.

Referring to the ongoing hostilities at Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, Zelensky said that no one has the right to blackmail the world with a nuclear catastrophe and that Russia has turned the plant into “a radioactive bomb that can explode at any moment.”
Also in his address, Zelensky proposed an exchange of prisoners with Russia “all for all”.
