Premier Meloni’s speech in the House on sending arms to Ukraine has become popular among Kyiv’s top leadership. Spinning it around the web, from Twitter to Telegram, are Ukrainians themselves.

Among them is Anton Gerashenko, an advisor to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, who on social media thanked the Prime Minister “for the support” after the FdI leader’s quote, which, responding to the M5S speech, said, “You tell us ‘stop’? You have to tell Putin. If we stop we allow the invasion of Ukraine. I am not so hypocritical as to exchange an invasion for the word peace. Not supporting Ukraine would mean recognizing Putin’s right to invade a foreign territory.” Also in the same tone was the comment of Andriy Yermak, head of the Ukrainian bureau, who – also posting the video – let it be known that he appreciated Giorgia Meloni’s “beautiful speech.

Also commenting on Twitter was Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s adviser, Mykhailo Podolyak, who spoke of the premier’s “brilliant” explanation of the Ukrainian situation addressed to “Europeans who continue to humiliate Europe by asking ‘not to help Ukraine'”

We see a trend that many politicians are no longer afraid of such a “great country like Russia” and openly declare that it is necessary to renounce ties with Moscow with Putin and in general with people who support the war with Ukraine.
