An anti-NATO group claimed credit for the attack, which caused the electronic systems and parking services of Slovakia’s capital to go down on Wednesday when GLOBSEC, an international security conference, was taking place.
Early in the morning, a significant DDoS cyberattack rendered the website of the city hall inoperable. No data were breached, according to Matus Vallo, mayor of Bratislava.
“We are doing everything possible to ensure that services are restored as soon as possible. We are also communicating and coordinating our efforts with the National Security Bureau, the government’s CSIRT cybersecurity unit and our internet provider.”

The conference of GLOBSEC addresses a variety of security issues, such as hybrid threats and aiding Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression.
The anonymous cyber gang claimed responsibility on Twitter Early in the morning,
“We must stop watching while the US and NATO push the world into a second world war. We must halt it”, the group wrote. It linked the attack to the conference that Emmanuel Macron and Ursula von der Leyen, among others, attended by using the hashtag #GLOBSEC in its posts.
In addition, the organization claimed responsibility for the cyberattacks on Hiroshima during the G7 summit, which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attended.
The strike also rendered Bratislava’s parking facilities inoperable. As a result of people’s inability to pay, City Hall stopped issuing daily parking penalties.
