The military exercise was held in California, US, where the Ukrainian steppes were simulated. Elite fighters practiced their operations against the Russian troops in view of the experience of the war in Ukraine.
The British Army sent about 450 soldiers to the American Mojave Desert in California to conduct exercises where, together with Australia and the United States, they practiced actions against the Russian troops in Europe.
UK sent an elite infantry regiment and a platoon of UAV operators to the Mojave Desert. The US conducted two-week exercises in the desert, which simulate the Ukrainian steppes. British, American and Australian troops were deployed over an area of 1,000 square miles (1,600 sq km).
The training was based on the experience of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The military used swarms of drones to identify targets, buggies traversed the muddy terrain, and British MLRS with GMLRS missiles struck enemy forces. Also, 5th generation F-35 fighter jets were spotted in the sky.
It is emphasized that the simulation of the land war in Europe took place in the second stage, in the first stage the military practiced fighting on a Pacific Island. Both scenarios were worked out against the backdrop of tensions with the Russian Federation and China.
In total, 4,500 military personnel participated in the exercises. British rangers tested themselves alongside their American counterparts in extreme weather conditions, from snow to dust storms with temperatures in excess of 40°C.
During the maneuvers, the British unit tested the latest models of equipment: autonomous M-Raza buggies, German unmanned vehicles Mission Master, II Zodiac, UAV Puma and others.
