Finnish President signs law on joining NATO

Today, on 23 March, Finnish President Sauli Niinistö signed the laws on the country’s membership in NATO. This was the last step in ratifying the necessary documents at the national level. This was reported by Yle.

The president signed the laws during the last session of the Finnish parliament.

The process of approving the documents for Finland is complete. However, the country is still awaiting ratification of NATO membership by the parliaments of Hungary and Turkey.
