The Governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev reported that a Su-30 fighter jet crashed on a 2-story building in Irkutsk, 2 pilots were killed, and there were no casualties among the local residents.
“According to preliminary data, a plane of SU category fell on a two-story building on Przhevalskogo Street in Irkutsk”.
The Governor said that he had arrived at the scene. “All units are already here. There is no information about the victims yet,” – he added.
The press service of the main department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Irkutsk region clarifies that the Su-30 plane crashed during a test flight. “The plane crashed within the city, in the sector of private buildings. Fire and rescue units are working at the scene, the information is being clarified,” – the statement said.
