Iran has publicly denied providing drones to Russia, which is actively using them in the war in Ukraine.
According to Xinhua, Nasser Kanaani, spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made this statement.
He said that Iran “considers the disclosed information about the transportation of Iranian drones to Russia for use in the Ukrainian conflict false and does not confirm these statistics.”
Iran steadfastly upholds a policy of neutrality and non-interference, Kanaani emphasizes.
“We have consistently stated our principled and unequivocal positions of active neutrality and opposition to the war, highlighting the necessity for a political resolution devoid of bloodshed”, he stressed.
