UNDP has handed over 430 generators purchased with funds from Japan to the Kherson region to address the damage caused by the explosion at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station.
Russian invaders, who controlled the HPP, were accused of blowing up the Kakhovka dam from within.

The Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine reported on its Facebook page.
The Ministry says that 430 generators will be donated to the needs of the Kherson region as a result of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station dam.
We will immediately deliver the generators donated by our partners to the local communities so that they can promptly resume providing basic services to their residents. The sooner we do this, the sooner the conditions will be created for Ukrainians to return to their homes.

This year, UNDP plans to hand over more than a thousand more generators purchased for the needs of 15 regions of Ukraine.
All the generators are being handed over under the coordination of the Ministry of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine.
