Moldovan authorities send a clear signal that a pro-Russian coup d’état in the country is not possible

The defendants in the criminal case in preparation for mass riots are subjected to searches. This was announced today by the Inspectorate General of Moldovan Police.

As the institution clarified, investigations are taking place in several locations across the country.

The searches are being carried out by officers of the Organised Crime Investigation Directorate together with the Main Criminal Prosecution Directorate and special prosecutors.

Details of the searches and details of the criminal case are promised later.

A group of young men who returned from Turkey was questioned at Chisinau airport this week. There is information that they had been trained to prepare for riots during the protests.

The SOR party, which the authorities accuse of intending to stage pogroms, traditionally called the information about their involvement in illegal acts a provocation.
