According to Ukrinform, citing the press office of the U.S. Department of State, this was said by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken at a meeting with Ukrainian Minister for Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit in Cambodia.
According to Blinken, “We’re meeting today at a time when Ukraine has just liberated the city of Kherson and the region, and that success is a testament once again to the remarkable courage of the Ukrainian armed forces, the Ukrainian people, as well as the strong support that Ukraine has from countries around the world, including, of course, the United States – support that will continue for as long as it takes – security, humanitarian, and economic.
The U.S. Secretary of State also made note of the serious dangers that Russian Federation strikes pose to Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. According to him, Russia continues to “brutalize Ukraine, especially with its targeted campaign to try to take out its energy infrastructure – everything necessary to keep the lights on, keep people warm during the winter, having a terrible effect on the civilian population throughout Ukraine.”
According to Blinken, “Our determination is equal to helping support Ukraine to defend that critical infrastructure and, of course, to replace and rebuild it if it’s damaged.”
