Poland provided Ukraine with Soviet-made Mi-24 helicopters

Poland discreetly provided Ukraine with Soviet-made Mi-24 attack helicopters.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Ukraine’s Armed Forces received about 10 helicopters from Poland. Warsaw has not publicly announced this military aid.

Mi-24 is an attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for 10 paratroopers.

This Soviet-made attack helicopter develops a maximum speed of 335 km/h and has a maximum flight range of 450 km.

Poland is one of the nations that support Ukraine the most in the war with Russia. Warsaw provides military assistance to Kyiv and supports Ukraine’s accession to NATO.

In May, Poland agreed to deliver to Ukraine 14 MiG-29 fighter jets.

Poland and Slovakia have created a coalition to transfer MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, which are in service with the Ukrainian Air Force.
