This is reported by WELT AM SONNTAG.

It is noted that Russian women are looking for profiles of politicians or military personnel on Tinder to gain useful information by building relationships. According to WELT, this approach was warned against at a meeting in Germany attended by military personnel from several NATO countries.

The German Military Counterintelligence Service (MAD) confirmed in response to WELT’s questions that employees of other intelligence services (e.g., Russia) use social media to purposefully establish contacts with Bundeswehr military personnel and try to recruit them. Among other things, this is happening on the dating platform Tinder.
