The death toll from a Russian missile strike on Kramatorsk on the evening of 27 June has risen to 12 people, including three children, and 60 people have been wounded.

On the evening of 27 June, Russian invading troops launched a missile on Kramatorsk, Donetsk region, hitting a pizzeria and a residential building. The Russians used two Iskander missiles to hit the facility where people were eating.
Initially, at 08:10, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported 8 dead, but later the mayor of Kramatorsk wrote that rescuers had removed the body of 4 more victims from the rubble. This brought the death toll to 12.
Russian strike killed three teenager girls, and injured one baby
Also, 61 people were injured due to a double-missile attack on Kramatorsk. Among the dead are three minor girls, aged 17, and two sisters, aged 14.
As of 07:00, the State Emergency Service reported that the bodies of 8 dead people (including 3 children, two born in 2008 and 2011) had been freed from the rubble of the destroyed pizzeria building. Among the injured was a child born in 2022 (at 7 a.m., 56 wounded were reported).
The head of the Donetsk regional administration, Ihor Klymenko, said that the Russian invaders had targeted crowded areas. Mr Klymenko said the Russians hit the private sector and a pizzeria.
The attack was carried out with two Iskander missiles on the evening of 27 June, when people had just got home from work, – Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin stated.
Russians may have targeted foreigners and journalists in this strike
Three Colombian citizens are among the wounded. They are the founder of Aquanta Ucraina (“Hold on to Ukraine” – a group supporting Ukraine in Latin America) and Colombian MP Sergio Jaramillo, writer Hector Abad and journalist Catalina Gomez. They were lightly injured. This delegation was having lunch at a pizzeria at the time of the Russian missile attack. Ukrainian writer and public figure Victoria Amelina accompanied the foreigners. She is currently in serious condition.
At the same time, Russian propaganda started shouting that some foreigners were allegedly present in Kramatorsk, which triggered the Russian troops to strike the city centre. In this way, Russian propagandists acknowledged that Russian troops targeted foreigners and journalists deliberately.
All residents of Kramatorsk know that foreign journalists and media professionals liked to gather in the pizzeria that was hit by missiles. And representatives of the Ukrainian media, when they came to Kramatorsk to cover the events of the Russian-Ukrainian war, also visited this place. In general, this pizzeria was always crowded.
At least three people were rescued during the rescue operations under the rubble.
