With losses on the southern front, Russia retreats

Russian attacks on the southern front in the direction of Zelenyi Gai – Ternovi Pody are repelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Reports are given by Operational Command “South.”

“In the past 24 hours, there have been three combat encounters between Russian and Ukrainian Defense Forces. With the aid of mortars, a tank, and an IFV, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a Russian motorized rifle platoon’s attempt to advance on Zelenyi Gai – Ternovi Pody; the Russians were forced to flee while suffering casualties. The sabotage and reconnaissance group’s withdrawal and one motorized rifle platoon’s attempt to attack Ukrainian lines while being supported by a tank and BMP both failed. The article claims that the Russians were forced to retire and sustained heavy losses.

The southern front’s situation is still “steadily challenging,” according to the OC “South.” Russian forces primarily engage in defensive operations and work to maintain control over the occupied areas in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.

Russians use drones to verify the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the areas of Beryslav and Mykolaiv, six reconnaissance aircraft of the Orlan-10 type and one “Mohajer-6” were shot down by the Ukrainian army.
