This article is the second part of a research project titled “Top 10 news websites spreading Russian propaganda in Poland.” In this part, we analyze and provide examples of Kremlin narratives and disinformation in 5 out of 10 identified pro-Russian Polish outlets.
NEon24.net
NEon24.net is a Polish-language user-driven blogging site. Its self-proclaimed “independence” often translates to a rejection of mainstream storylines, leaning heavily into populist, anti-establishment, and pro-Kremlin topics. They frequently include criticism of the European Union, Polish government policies, immigration (especially regarding Ukrainian refugees in Poland), and globalism. It’s fertile ground for manipulation and disinformation because there’s little to no editorial filter. Content can range from legit critiques to outright fabrications, depending on the author’s agenda.
The article “Today Romania…….. Tomorrow Poland” employs suggestive rhetoric to imply that the current political developments in Romania—such as election cancellation and detentions—could serve as a precedent for Poland should certain factions prevail in future elections. Its language, including the exhortation to “take to the streets and hang these sons of bitches,” is overtly inflammatory, prioritizing incitement over substantive discourse. The piece further utilizes charged phrases like “red plague,” “Bolshevik EU,” and “Ukrainian thugs,” alongside appeals to resist the European Union, oppose leftist ideologies, and defend national sovereignty. This framing establishes a stark “us versus them” narrative, fostering an atmosphere of suspicion and polarization rather than reasoned debate.
“People in Romania should take to the streets and hang these sons of bitches on trees and skin them. Some lover of naked children, a pedophile in Brussels, will choose their president. Well, here it is not a sin to hang someone, because it is war, and either we have them or leftist fascism has us.”

The article called “David, Goliath, and Donald: How Ukraine Transitioned from Subordination to Russia to Subordination to the US” picks and chooses which facts to use and uses a harsh tone to paint a picture of Ukraine as a sacrificial lamb for U.S. greed, leaving out larger context that could soften the criticism. The article also employs selective omissions and framing, likely with the intention of inciting anger rather than educating the reader. The propaganda aims to undermine Ukraine’s sovereignty or the credibility of the United States.
“This is an exemplary lesson in patriotism, Ukrainian style. The destruction of a nation so that its remnants can be sacrificed to save oneself. Another Riviera?”

The article titled “NATO, EU, and the Baltic Blockade” suggests seeing NATO and the EU as instigators, potentially manipulating them into viewing Russia as a victim of escalating hostility rather than a player in a mutual standoff. The article barely mentions Russia’s role beyond reacting to Western moves. It skips Moscow’s annexation of Crimea and hybrid warfare (e.g., cable cuts linked to shadow fleet ships). The article targets readers distrustful of NATO/EU narratives—possibly Eastern European skeptics or anti-Western circles, painting the West as the sole aggressor. The piece aligns with a pro-Russian trope—West as aggressor, Russia as defender—using selective framing and authoritative citations to mask bias as analysis.
“Since the first outbreak of the Ukraine crisis (or between NATO countries and Russia), observers most focused on the strategic aspect of the crisis have immediately realized the significance of this maritime arm, because it is here that the masks and narratives have fallen to make way for the real causes of the current crisis.”

The article titled “Donald Tusk in Zełensky’s Embrace: forgets the needs of the Poles” portrays political figures in a negative light without substantiated facts, implying that Donald Tusk is collaborating with European leaders to implement the “Green Deal” in Poland and to continue supporting the war in Ukraine. However, the claims that Tusk’s actions prioritize external agendas over Polish needs lack credible evidence.
"Unfortunately, D. Tusk is needed by Mrs. Ursula and the chancellor across the Oder to implement the 'Green Deal' in our country and to continue supporting the war in Ukraine."

The article titled “A Russian on the views of other Russians on the war in Ukraine” uses fake pro-Kremlin terms like “Jewish-Bandera regime in Kyiv.”.
“People who are against the West, for the destruction of the Jewish-Bandera regime in Kyiv, but who believe that the war is being conducted ineptly, and see in this the stupidity of Putin's entourage, the mediocrity of the military who joined the Army after perestroika—i.e., there is neither modern understanding nor Soviet patriotism in them.”

The article titled “The West and the Conflict in Ukraine” employs false statements that the U.S. “installed a neo-Nazi regime” in 2014 and a baseless assertion that the U.S. ordered “biological weapons research” in Ukraine under Antony Fauci in 2001. The article is a blend of historical revisionism, conspiracy theories, and geopolitical propaganda, heavily favoring Russia’s perspective on the Russia-Ukraine war.
“To expand in Ukraine, NATO supported neo-Nazi groups by giving them power and established their laws in the country.”

Magnapolonia PL
The Magnapolonia website promotes far-right and anti-Ukrainian views, offering positive coverage to the far-right party Confederation. It published articles on Poland, Europe, and Ukraine with selectively negative stories about Ukrainians. It highlights crimes committed by Ukrainian nationals in Poland and stigmatizes all Ukrainian refugees.
It posts Russian officials manipulative statements without any critical analysis, quotes sanctioned Russian outlets, RT editor-in-chief, posts stories denigrating Ukraine, and criticizes aid to Ukraine. It spreads Russian narratives about the imminent defeat and collapse of Ukraine and the might of Russian forces. Finally, we spotted a fake news story about Zelenskyy buying luxury property in Egypt.
This website presents anti-Semitic views; it features a special rubric titled “Jews,” where articles criticize people of Jewish descent, regardless of their nationality, often using the term “Jewish Nazi” and asking if Adolf Hitler had Jewish descent. In general, its pieces have a xenophobic connotation, most often Ukrainophobic.
On the other hand, Ukraine is accused of Nazi ideology, the same fake accusations that were voiced by Putin to justify its war of aggression. A separate focus is set on the alleged threat that Ukraine and Ukrainians pose to Poland and an allegation that Ukraine could go into a conflict with Poland.
It highlighted Russian false claims, voiced by Peskov and Zakharova, that assistance to Ukraine by allied countries “supports terrorism and leads to escalation.”
"The U.S. has voted on an aid package for Ukraine. Russia is furious. The aid for Ukraine was also commented on by the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova. She said that the support would "deepen crises around the world. Military support for the Kiev regime is simply direct sponsorship of terrorist activities,” she wrote in her statement. ”

Spreading Russian propaganda by RIA Novosti that any assistance to Ukraine is an escalation that will lead to “legitimate strikes by the Russian army.”
"Will Russia attack airports in Poland? The Kremlin's representative reacted sharply to the declarations of sending F-16 combat missions from NATO countries. Colonel General Andrei Kartapolov, head of the Defense Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, told the state news agency RIA Novosti that NATO bases where F-16s for Ukraine will be stationed will become "legitimate targets" for Moscow. Sending planes from Poland on combat missions against the Russians is another step toward open war. Do we really want this?"

"Russians effectively jam western weapons. Considering the above, it is worth recalling that Warsaw politicians, detached from reality, ordered 500 HIMARS launchers, which will be delivered to us within the next 10 years. As we can see, they are already worthless. In a decade, they will be just a rolling scrap metal that the Muscovites will only laugh at. It would be similar if someone in 1945 went to the front with a 7TP tank, which was still a relatively effective piece of equipment in 1939."

Marucha.wordpress.com (The Forester Marucha’s Journal)
This Polish-language outlet’s criticism of Ukraine as a failed or fascist state fits RT’s regular narrative. Positive depictions of Russia’s actions, whether in Syria or Ukraine, demonstrate Sputnik’s tendency to defend Kremlin goals. The blog mostly relies on opinion or reposts from other “alternative” Polish sites (e.g., neon24.pl, myslpolska.info), which themselves may draw from Russian-aligned pieces. It hardly links to primary sources. This indirect reverberation points more toward influence than clear reference. It emphasizes stopping the war in Ukraine but presents it as a Western mistake devoid of reference to Russia’s aggression. It blames Western actions (NATO expansion and sanctions on Russia) but fails to condemn the illegal Russian invasion and all-out war.
The article “Munich Cold Shower” by Stanisław Michalkiewicz employs anti-Western, anti-EU, and pro-Russian sentiments, demonstrating anti-Ukrainian critique, manipulations, and disinformation. The article portrays the European Union as a failing entity, dominated by “Jewish communism” and “totalitarian” tendencies under leaders like Ursula von der Leyen, abandoning its foundational values for ideological extremism; it omits Russia’s aggression (e.g., the 2014 Crimea annexation and the 2022 invasion) as the war’s cause, blaming Obama and the West instead, and spreading conspiracy theory and the Kremlin narrative about “Maidan coup.”. The article frames Russia as a reasonable partner.
“President Obama blew it all up in 2014, spending $5 billion to organize a “Maidan” in Ukraine, the aim of which, or just a pretext, was to extract Ukraine from the Russian zone.”
Marucha.wordpress.com has republished an article titled “Will We Die for Ukropolin?” from ekspedyt.org. The piece exhibits pro-Russian narratives by blaming Ukraine and the West, legitimizing Russia’s peace overtures, and questioning Ukrainian statehood—core Kremlin themes. It includes potential fakes (e.g., Zelensky’s 4% support, inflated EU aid) that lack evidence and mirror Russian disinformation patterns, using controversial terms like “European camarilla,” “imperial America,” and so-called “independent Ukraine.”. Manipulative tactics like fear-mongering and conspiracy theories amplify these messages, targeting to erode Ukraine’s support. This piece fits Russia’s broader information war strategy: sowing division, discrediting Ukraine’s allies, and promoting isolationism in frontline states like Poland.
“It is necessary to explain to everyone now that Trump will seek an agreement with Russia, and the EU and UK will try to prevent this by prolonging the war and trying to drag Poland into the conflict.”
Reposted from myslpolska.info, the article “Time to Pay Bills” by Jan Engelgard is a polemical piece with credible kernels—Ukraine’s territorial and human losses, Zelenskyy’s Minsk shift, the 2022 talks’ collapse—but distorts them into a one-sided narrative blaming Ukraine and the West. Its exaggerations (casualties, U.S. spending), selective history, and alignment with pro-Russian tropes indicate a potential bias intended to weaken support for Ukraine and push Polish isolationism. The article avoids condemning Russia’s invasion, instead portraying Ukraine as the aggressor for pursuing NATO and rejecting peace—mirroring Kremlin narratives.
“He [Zelensky] promised peace with Russia, but not only did he not intend to fulfill the provisions of the Minsk Agreements (autonomy for Donbas), but also announced that he would take back Crimea by force and bring Ukraine into NATO, and then supported actions aimed at the Russian-speaking population that restricted their rights. But his biggest mistake was rejecting the peace negotiated in Turkey in April 2022, after Russia had already launched its invasion, which guaranteed the existence of a neutral Ukrainian state. He chose, under pressure from the US and Great Britain, war.”
The mention of “SWO” (likely “Special Military Operation,” Russia’s term for the Ukraine invasion) in the title “Zelenskyy’s escape means another year and a half of SWO” further hints at adopting Moscow’s lexicon. The piece suggests European leaders’ messages to Zelenskyy (“Be strong, be brave, be fearless”) were a coded directive for a prearranged role, not genuine support. The claim that Kyiv should prepare Russian flags and red carpets suggests an imminent Russian victory as a result of the meeting’s aftermath. Dehumanization of Zelenskyy: Calling Zelenskyy a “third-rate actor” and “former comedian” who was “booed” and “crushed” serves to undermine his legitimacy, a tactic often used in propaganda to discredit adversaries. This contrasts with his portrayal in Western media as a resilient wartime leader, suggesting a deliberate attempt to shift perception.
“The puppeteers knew perfectly well that Zelensky would be crushed, but that was the goal, because they knew in advance that such an approach would not work with Trump.”

The article titled “De-Russification instead of diversification,” reposted from myslpolska.info, exhibits clear signs of manipulation, pro-Kremlin leanings, and propaganda elements. Its framing manipulates readers by casting Poland’s energy shift as a reckless “de-Russification” rather than a strategic response to Russia’s geopolitical behavior, particularly post-Ukraine invasion. The pro-Kremlin bent is evident in its idealization of Russian oil, critique of Western policies, and silence on Russia’s aggression, aligning with Kremlin efforts to portray itself as a wronged economic partner.
“It was supposed to be diversification, but today the smokescreen has fallen and in its place appeared "derussification". That is, severing all ties, especially energy ties, and implanting a deep conflict with Russia.”
The article titled “Error in the sides of the equation” reposted from wolnemedia.net manipulates readers by ridiculing Western policies while presenting unverified or fabricated scenarios (e.g., NATO withdrawal) as fact. It aligns with pro-Kremlin narratives by portraying Russia as a reasonable counterweight to a corrupt, war-driven West, echoing Kremlin talking points like “denazification” of Ukraine and NATO’s irrelevance.
“Let us recall how many times several people were expelled from embassies at the same time. Now these contacts are supposedly being repaired, but only the Russian side is issuing rather cool messages. Surprised every now and then by Washington's ideas, implemented by European contractors, it reminds us with the voice of the Kremlin spokesman or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the immutability of the initially discussed peace conditions: demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, which for our purposes is debanderization, permanent neutrality of the remnants of the state as a buffer zone.”
Another article reposted from myslpolska.info frames the intelligence halt as a step toward peace, aligning with Kremlin narratives that Ukraine must be forced to negotiate on Russia’s terms (e.g., demilitarization, neutrality), thus normalizing Russian demands. It avoids criticizing Russia’s aggression, instead focusing on Ukrainian “nervousness” and U.S. leverage, subtly endorsing Moscow’s position. The emphasis on forcing Ukraine to negotiate, paired with Ratcliffe’s “president of peace” quote, pushes a propaganda line that peace requires Ukrainian capitulation rather than mutual compromise. This aligns with Russia’s stance and downplays the war’s root cause—Russian aggression.
“We will see what happens next, but the visible nervousness on the part of the Ukrainian authorities, headed by President Zelensky, and the "gray eminence" on Bankova Mykhailo Podolyak, indicate that President Trump will soon achieve what he intends and Kiev will "break".”

Voltairenet.org
Founded by French writer Thierry Meyssan, Voltaire Network has explicitly positioned itself as an alternative to mainstream Western media, often with a clear anti-establishment, anti-Western bias. It serves as a hub for conspiracy theories that often align with Russian state propaganda, providing a platform for voices critical of Western policies.
With content in multiple languages (Polish in particular), it attempts to influence international opinion, spreads disinformation, and justifies Russian aggression in Ukraine by framing it as defensive, particularly in regions where there’s skepticism or opposition to the West.
Voltaire Network refers in its articles to the official websites of Russia’s Presidential Executive Office website (en.kremlin.ru) and Foreign Intelligence Service (svr.gov.ru), suggesting strong bilateral ties.
The article titled “Moscow attack reminds of ties between Islamists and ‘integral nationalists’ in Kyiv” by Thierry Meyssan on voltairenet.org demonstrates manipulation and disinformation and justifies Russian aggression by aligning with narratives that depict Russian actions as defensive or necessary.
“It doesn’t matter whether the attack on the concertgoers at Moscow’s Crocus City Hall was planned by Daesh with Ukrainians or without them: these people are used to working together. This has been going on for three quarters of a century, but it is still not part of the collective consciousness: the “integral nationalists” who currently rule in Kiev are cooperating with the Muslim Brotherhood and its militia under the supervision of the Anglo-Saxon special services. Their main task is to fight the Russians […].”
Another article by Thierry Meyssan from voltairenet.org titled “Russia Prepares to Respond to Biden Administration’s Expectation of Armageddon” focuses on victimhood narrative by framing Russia as a victim of Western cognitive warfare and supports the Kremlin’s narrative that any aggressive actions by Russia are responses to Western provocations and Ukrainian radical nationalists.
“Moscow sees the attack on Kursk as a continuation of the CIA's covert war in Ukraine and its war against the USSR in the 1950s, both of which were supported by mainstream Ukrainian nationalists Stepan Bandera.”
The article titled “Donald Trump and the Conflict in Ukraine” by Thierry Meyssan manipulates the narrative surrounding the Russia-Ukrainian war by focusing on U.S. policy missteps and portraying Russian demands as reasonable preconditions for peace. It spreads disinformation by presenting a selective and simplified view of the conflict dynamics, omitting crucial context about Russian aggression.
The framing indirectly justifies Russian actions by suggesting they are defensive or a response to Western provocations. The article asserts that there is “a false image of Russia’s involvement in the conflict.” Interesting to know if it’s about a false image about Russian troops executing civilians in masses in Bucha, Izyum, and other towns in Ukraine, or Russian strikes on hospitals and schools, or Russia’s deliberate destruction of energy infrastructure?
“Three weeks after his installation in the White House, President Trump is trying to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. His advisors, blinded by their prejudices, clearly do not understand Moscow's concerns. They give him a false image of Russia's involvement in this conflict.”
Zaprasza.net
Zaprasza.net is a Polish-language conspiracy blog that disseminates Kremlin narratives about the Russian war in Ukraine and provides justification for Moscow’s invasion. The publication calls the war “Biden’s secret war,” “a US proxy war,” uses Putin’s terminology (“special military operation”), and promotes the false Russian narrative about Nazis controlling Ukraine.
A significant part of the materials has anti-Semitic views and talks about a global Jewish conspiracy to provoke a war in Ukraine, where Jews are supposedly planned to be resettled in the devastated territories. The site also supports narratives about “theft of Western aid in Ukraine” and about “the defeat of Ukraine,” also mentioning “Jewish corruption” in Ukraine.

"How US and international policymakers deliberately prodded Putin into war. US officials support neo-Nazi groups in Ukraine. Crimea returned to the Russian motherland through a bloodless annexation and an unequal referendum. Luhansk People's Republic and Donetsk People's Republic Declare Independence, Which Is the Beginning of War. The Kiev government constantly "bombards" this "Russian-speaking population." After Biden’s 2021 inauguration, provocative actions begin to provoke a Russian invasion; Zelenskyy issues a declaration of war against nuclear-armed Russia. Putin announces a 'special military operation' and invades to defend Russia 'from those who have taken Ukraine hostage and are trying to use it against our country and our people.'."

"The Real US Goal in Ukraine. We are learning that Nazi and racist ideologies are popular in Ukraine. We now know that the US State Department, with the help of Germany and other EU and NATO countries, conspired against Russia when it signed the Minsk agreement in 2014, which was a noble lie in the neoconservative style."

"If facts were stronger than belief, the war in Ukraine would never have happened; there would be no fantasies of NATO membership pushed by the US or demanded by the US proxy in Kiev. If facts were stronger than belief, Europe, like Israel, would discipline Ukraine and its US proxy in Kiev—for encouraging and strengthening Nazism in Ukrainian politics."

"How did Germany end up in such a state of ruin? The imperialist United States—“God’s own country,” as many Americans believe—has gone too far in its quest to expand its global economic and military supremacy. With the help of its vassals in Europe, it has surrounded a non-aggressive, détente-seeking Russia, whose vast natural resources have attracted the American oligarchic democracy. The attacking alliance, NATO, has tried to bring Russia to its knees with its combined forces."

"How Jewish is the war with Russia? Currently, the three most senior officials in the State Department (Tony Blinken, Wendy Sherman, and Victoria Nuland) are Zionist Jews. The head of the Department of Homeland Security, who is hot on the trail of domestic “terrorist” dissidents, is also Jewish, as is the attorney general and the president’s chief of staff. They and their boss Joe Biden don’t seem to care that their client Ukraine is not a democracy."

"Israel Recognizes Khazars as Jews; Secret Plan to Reverse Migration to Ukraine. Now, in an even bolder move, it has been revealed that Israel will withdraw its settlers from communities outside the settlement blocs—and relocate them, at least temporarily, to Ukraine. "Jewish Corruption in Ukraine. As Russia slowly escalates its “special military operation” against Ukraine on the eve of its first anniversary, I am once again drawn to the complex but glaring phenomenon of extreme Jewish corruption in the latter country. Although it has become common to note the Jewishness of Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and perhaps also Volodymyr Groysman, the first prime minister to serve under Zelenskyy, I have yet to read a detailed account of the key Jewish players in the ongoing saga of the Ukrainian oligarchy and its political affiliates."

"Ukrainian Military Stole Aid Money Intended for Fortifications, So Nothing Was Built. As we’ve learned, a significant portion of the money that the West sent to Ukraine to help Zelenskyy’s regime fight Russia was embezzled by the Ukrainian military."
