Defence Intelligence of Ukraine reports that components of Iranian drones deployed in Ukraine were created after Russia’s invasion.
Today, September 8, the Main Intelligence Directorate announced that when studying the remains of the Iranian Mohajer-6 drone, marks on the propeller were discovered, indicating that this part was manufactured in February 2022.
The drone included no Russian-made components. The majority of the components are manufactured in the United States (!!!). The engine is from Austria, the laser rangefinder is from China, and the camera is from Japan. Iranian gunsmiths create the combat component.
Previously, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian denied giving Russia UAVs during its February 24, 2022 invasion of Ukraine. He requested Kyiv to disclose evidence of Russia’s use of Iranian drones to the Iranian side.
We can now clearly state that the Iranian minister is twisting the facts.
We previously stated that the fact that Russians deployed Iranian drones as early as September of this year, as well as the presence of Iranian advisors at the same time, indicates that the Iranian account is dubious.
The arrival of an Iranian cargo plane in Moscow on November 6 this year cannot but cause concern.
“A new batch of Iranian Shaheed-136 kamikaze drones likely arrived in Moscow on Thursday,” said Bild military expert Julian Röpke.
Ukrainian officials expressed outrage over Iran’s position on the supply of drones to Russia and called it an outright lie.
