On November 24, the Dutch Parliament declared that Russia was a state sponsor of terrorism and that its activities in Ukraine constituted terrorism. Deputies fully endorsed the Dutch government’s support for Ukraine.
Most parties supported the proposal of MP Tom van der Lee. They also supported the government’s policy of maximum possible support for Ukraine in the humanitarian, diplomatic and military areas.
The vast majority of parties, in particular: VVD (People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy), D66 (Progressive Democrats), PvdA (Labour Party), and CDA (Christian Democratic Party), supported the proposal of MP Tom van der Lee from GroenLinks (Green Left).
The Netherlands will transfer 100 million euros to the newly created International Fund of support to Ukraine. The money will be used to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Defense of the Netherlands reported.
They will finance the purchase of military equipment for the Ukrainian army.
On November 23, the European Parliament adopted a resolution recognizing Russia as a sponsor of terrorism and a state that uses the means of terrorism. The document was supported by the absolute majority of MEPs during the voting.
On October 26, the Senate of Poland supported the resolution. Poland strongly condemned the Russian aggression and called on all countries that stand for peace, democracy, and human rights to recognize the Russian government as a terrorist regime.
In August, the Latvian Saeima recognized Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism. On October 18 Estonia declared Russia a state sponsor of terrorism. For this decision 88 deputies of the Estonian parliament.
In addition, on October 13, PACE recognized the Russian regime as a terrorist. The resolution was adopted unanimously. Russia is also recognized as a country sponsoring terrorism in Lithuania.
