NATO Secretary General: multi-year aid package for Ukraine will be approved at Summit

A multi-year support package for Ukraine will be ratified during the NATO summit in Vilnius on July 11-12.

This will be one of three major decisions on Ukraine made at this meeting, as NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg mentioned.

At the summit, we will make decisions that will make Ukraine even stronger and bring it closer to the Alliance. I expect that the Allies will adopt a three-pronged package to bring Ukraine closer to NATO

Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg

According to Jens Stoltenberg, first of all, the leaders will agree on a multi-year assistance programme to ensure full interoperability between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO.
