On the night of November 21, Russia launched 5 missiles and 11 Shahed war drones at Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense destroyed an Iskander-K cruise missile and 10 attack UAVs.
“Last night, the Russian invaders struck again at Ukraine, using 4 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, an Iskander-K cruise missile and 11 Shahed-136/131 attack drones,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
The Ukrainian military noted that the air defense forces destroyed an Iskander-K cruise missile and 10 attack UAVs. Russian attack drones threatened almost the entire territory of the country and reached the western regions of Ukraine.
The Central City Hospital in Selidovo, Donetsk region, the building of the Kotlyarevska mine and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
The head of the Volyn regional administration, Yuriy Pogulyayko, said: “According to the military, Shahid drones were destroyed in Volyn. There are no casualties; the situation is under control.”
The head of the Dnipropetrovs’k regional administration, Serhiy Lysak, said that “late in the evening, our defenders of the sky destroyed an enemy missile over the region.”
Two people were killed, and eight others were wounded in Russian strikes on the towns of Selidove and Novohrodivka in the Donetsk region late on November 20.
“According to the investigation, on November 20 at 23:35, the Russian army attacked the town of Selidove, probably with an S-300 missile system. The target of the invading forces was the city hospital, where people were being treated. As a result of the shelling, eight citizens sustained contusions and shrapnel wounds, and one was killed,” the Donetsk prosecutor’s office said.
Russian missiles also hit an enterprise located in Novohrodivka. A 63-year-old worker who was on one of the premises died from his injuries.
The buildings of the medical facility and the enterprise were heavily damaged, and vehicles were also damaged.
Meanwhile, fighting continues at the frontline. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding new positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, repelling Russian attacks in several areas in the east and south of the country.
“Over the last day, 70 combat engagements took place. The enemy launched 5 missiles and 10 air strikes, fired 20 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas,” the General Staff said.
Colonel General Oleksandr Syrsky, Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said that heavy fighting continues near Bakhmut.
According to Syrsky, Russian invading troops continued to use “Storm-Z” and “Storm-V” units, formed of prisoners, to storm Ukrainian positions in all directions.
In the Kupyansk sector, Russian invaders continued their offensive operations. They are trying to reach the village of Synkivka, Kharkiv region, to continue their attack on the city of Kupyansk.
The Russian invading troops do not give up trying to seize more Ukrainian land; Ukraine’s counteroffensive in the south has slowed down, and neither side can make significant progress at the front; thus, the war before winter is dragging on, approaching two years since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian invaders.
