Ukraine requires modern air defense equipment, according to Yuriy Hnat, spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, in order to successfully take down Iranian kamikaze drones. He made this announcement to the Espresso TV channel.
Mr Hnat said that while strikes by Iranian drones could now come from a variety of directions, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively planning to defend against such weaponry. He did point out that Ukraine continues to require the most modern air defense systems from its Western allies.
He added that there is evidence regarding the shipment of four military cargo aircraft from Iran to Russia, which may be carrying hundreds of kamikaze drones.
