Zelenskyy and leaders of Croatia, Slovenia, Moldova and Slovakia arrive in Bucha on the anniversary of the liberation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of Moldova and the Prime Ministers of Croatia, Slovakia and Slovenia took part in mourning events in Bucha to mark the liberation of Kyiv region from the Russian army.

“Bucha became the city that changed the world after its liberation. In its liberated streets, the world saw the outright evil, saw what the Kremlin wanted to bring to other streets of Ukraine and the world that the Russian invaders would like to seize”

Background

On 3 April 2022, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine announced the liberation of the entire territory of the Kyiv region from the invaders.

After the liberation, the bodies of those shot, tortured and raped were found on the streets of Bucha.
