Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski brought a Shahed kamikaze drone shot down by Ukrainians to a conservative conference in the United States.
In a video that he posted, Radoslaw Sikorski claimed that Ukrainians shot down the drone before taking it to Poland.
He noted that US President Donald Trump may speak at the conference.
“The Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington is one of the most influential political events in the world. This year, participants can observe the symbol of the deaths of thousands of innocent people, shot down by Ukrainians and handed over by Poland: the Iranian Shahed drone,” Sikorsky wrote.
“Together we are effectively resisting the axis of evil,” Sikorski added.
On February 21, White House National Security Advisor Mike Waltz spoke at the conference and said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would soon sign a mining agreement with the United States.
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Poland has been one of Ukraine’s biggest supporters. Poland has taken in millions of Ukrainian refugees and provided Kyiv with humanitarian and military assistance.
Warsaw has also provided Ukraine with effective advocacy at the EU level and on the international stage in general. Good neighborly relations between Poland and Ukraine have not been overshadowed by disputes over historical and economic issues.
