To find hidden ways to cross the border, they organize groups of illegal migrants who may be captured or even killed in Ukrainian minefields.
For example, on November 26, 2022, Ukrainian border guards detained a group of illegal migrants (6 citizens of Pakistan and Bangladesh) at the border with the Republic of Belarus in the Rivne region.
After interviewing the detainees, the soldiers found out that the crossing of the Ukrainian border took place with the full assistance of the military personnel of the Republic of Belarus.
As a first step, they are met by “guides” who help draw up routes. After that, migrants have to promise to call from the territory of Ukraine and provide details of how they crossed the state border.
Ukrainian border guards found evidence of such cooperation in the messengers from the phones of foreigners.
Belarusian special services use this information to check whether secret border crossing routes are working on transferring their spies and saboteurs to Ukraine.
At the same time, the Belarusian military understands well that these migrants will either be detained by Ukrainian border guards or fall on mine-explosive barriers and die. But the Belarussian army still uses the migrants as cannon fodder.
